About Chloe Hofer, Psy.D.
I am a registered psychological associate working under the supervision and license of Melissa Jinariu, Psy.D., at Therapy SoCal. I have experience in working with children, adolescents, and families dealing with trauma, grief and loss, anxiety, depression, autism, and ADHD. I have also worked with adults with complex developmental trauma, depression, bipolar disorder, and substance use. My theoretical approach to therapy is psychodynamic and attachment focused. My goal is to help children and caregivers establish safe and consistent patterns of connection. I work collaboratively with clients in creating new understanding and experiences both interpersonally and intrapersonally.
Education & Training
I received my Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Azusa Pacific University in 2025. I completed my pre-doctoral internship at Pacific Clinics where I worked with children, adolescents, and their families to address trauma, grief, anxiety, depression, social and developmental challenges, and ADHD. I also worked with adults with histories of substance use, housing instability, and severe mental illness. My dissertation research examined the effects of trauma on the attachment styles in foster and adopted children.

I have worked in a both community mental health and private practice settings throughout my training, including in-home, school-, and field-based services. I primarily work with children, adolescents, and families utilizing evidenced based practices such as trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy (TF-CBT) and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).
