Meet Kemi

I am currently in my second year of the Clinical Psychology doctoral program at Azusa Pacific University. I am completing my practicum at Therapy SoCal under the supervision of Dr. Jinariu. I have worked in the mental health field for over 13 years across a range of clinical settings, including community mental health, school-based services, outpatient clinics, in-home services, pediatric medical units, and juvenile probation.

Education & Training

I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Sociology before pursuing advanced training in social work. I received my Master of Social Work (MSW) with an emphasis on children and families from Azusa Pacific University in 2016 and became licensed as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in 2021.

Since then, I have focused my clinical work on supporting children and families in private practice settings, with specialized experience in early childhood (ages 0–5). I am trained in evidence-based approaches including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), and Managing and Adapting Practice (MAP). I value building strong, collaborative relationships with clients and supporting them in reaching their therapeutic goals.

In my free time, I enjoy spending time with friends and family. On weekends, you can often find me running a 5K or walking my dog. I also enjoy traveling and learning about different cultures.
